Multi-Sports Camp: Perfect blend of sports, recreational games, and camaraderie with campers participating in a multitude of exciting, fun-filled games. Hofstra University Specialty Camps
For campers entering grades K-9: Specializing in academics, the arts & athletics

Description:
A half day in a specialty and a half day of instructional swim and recreational sports
Hofstra Summer Camps offers a broad spectrum of coed Specialty Camps designed for children entering kindergarten through ninth grade.
Campers entering kindergarten or first grade in 2010 may register for our Cub Camp, while those entering second through ninth grades may choose from any of our 20 different specialties.
Campers choose one specialty each two week session. Campers may participate in the specialty camps for two, four or six weeks. Campers spend one-half of each day participating in their area of specialization and the other half in planned recreational activities, which includes a period of instructional swim in an Olympic-sized pool. Additionally, a special end-of-the season Session Four one-week program is offered for youngsters who wish to engage in a full-day camp program

Our goal is to assist in the development of the total child educationally, athletically, artistically and socially. Our programs combine the excitement of Hofstra's varied curriculum with the professionalism and knowledge of a distinguished instructional staff. The college campus provides an intellectually enriching atmosphere combined with hours of fun. Full utilization is made of Hofstra's excellent indoor and outdoor, athletic and cultural facilities on its beautiful 240-acre campus.

We offer a wide range of creative activities, sports and academics.
For those campers who enjoy athletics we offer a wide range of specialties in: Athletic Development, Baseball, Basketball, Cheerleading, Golf, Soccer and Tennis.

Cornell University Youth Sports Day Camp

Description:
Cornell University will once again sponsor a summer Youth Sports Camp for children between the ages of 7 and 11. Children will be grouped by age. Camps will be held Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. through 4:30 p.m. Campers will receive individual and group instruction in a variety of sports. Supervised team competitions will also be held, again with teams separated by age groups. Every camper receives a free t-shirt.

Children will learn and play several different sports each week (football has been removed from the curriculum). Campers participate in bowling and a week ending skit. A daily swimming session is included in the camp curriculum.

Our main goal is to foster learning in a fun, sports-oriented atmosphere where children receive positive feedback for their accomplishments and recognition for their participation. Participation in sports can greatly enhance both the physical and mental development of young children. Children between the ages of 7 and 11 are active, exuberant, and possess a growing sense of independence. By experiencing a wide variety of sports, these children can gain self-confidence and self-esteem in a climate of teamwork and fair play.

Description:
For over 30 years, Future Stars has been providing families in Westchester, Manhattan, and Long Island with comprehensive, specialty camp programs in the New York area. Programs will be directed by experienced and qualified teachers and coaches, who share a passion for working with children. Campers enjoy a daily recreational swim period, relaxing lunch & tremendous camaraderie with fellow campers & coaches.

Baseball Camp: Campers will work individually and as teams to improve their offense and defense, power hitting, average, throwing, fielding, and speed/agility. Boys aged 6-16.
Basketball Camp : Campers will benefit from our philosophy of small-group instruction, close supervision, emphasis on skills, quality game play, and focus on team-work. Boys & Girls aged 6-16.
Cheerleading Camp: Campers participate in a dynamic, fun-filled program combining dance, jump, cheers and chants. Girls aged 7-16.
Circus Arts Camp: Campers will have chance to explore a wide variety of uniquely challenging circus arts skills. All skills are performed in a safe and highly supervised environment with trained professionals. Boys & Girls aged 7-16.
Dance Camp: Campers take part in classes in techniques of Modern, Ballet, Hip-Hop & Jazz, learning how to perform with poise and confidence. Girls aged 7-16.
Drama: Campers learn & enjoy while they rehearse, act and perform with the session culminating a Drama show for family, friends and fellow campers. Boys & Girls aged 8-16.
Lacrosse Camp: ampers follow a program with major emphasis on teaching & developing individual skills whilst also developing ‘field sense’ and team concepts. Boys & Girls aged 7-16.
Magic Camp: Campers participate in an exciting program, learning amazing feats of magic & illusion under the guidance of award winning magician David Oliver. Boys & Girls aged 7-16.
Multi-Sport Camp: Perfect blend of sports, recreational games, and camaraderie with campers participating in a multitude of exciting fun-filled games. Focus is on helping campers enjoy themselves in an atmosphere that promotes self confidence and team-work. Boys & Girls aged 6-16.
Rugby Camp: Campers follow a fun, co-educational, non contact (flag rugby), game-based introduction to rugby, giving students a basic understanding of the teamwork, rugby values, basic vocabulary, game knowledge & skills required to play flag rugby Boys & Girls aged 7-16.
Science (CSI) Camp: Campers will use science to connect the dots and help sniff out the suspects in this hands-on investigation into the science of sleuthing. Boys & Girls aged 7-12.
Soccer Camp: Campers follow a program that emphasizes ball control, passing, agility, attacking, and defending with daily matches to ensure all campers all challenged & develop further. Boys & Girls aged 6-16.
Softball Camp: Campers are challenged to become more confident and composed players following a technical and tactical program of hitting, fielding, throwing, catching, and agility drills. Girls aged 11-16.
Swim Camp: Campers follow daily program of technical training sessions designed to foster stroke fundamentals & to develop individuals to their full potential. Boys & Girls aged 6-16.
Tennis Camp: Program is individually designed to methodically challenge players of all levels. Campers are encouraged to enhance their strokes and strategies via group lesson, skill building drills, organized play, target training, & more. Boys & Girls aged 6-16.

Description:
A full day of athletic skill development with NCAA Coaches!!
The Players Skill Center (PSC) offers a variety of Coed specialty camps with the flexibility to register for one or multiple sessions for children ages 6-14. Campers may choose any of our 3 different sports specialties or our athletic development camp. Campers have the option of spending a full day or half day in their area of specialization. Those campers who choose a half day in a certain specialty, will spend the other half in planned recreational activities, which include athletic competitions in a variety of sports, plus a designated swim sessions
Our instructional staff has a great mix of professional, collegiate and high school coaching experience. We also have a full support staff of current college players to provide as excellent role models for the next generation of athletes.

Athletic Development:
Weeks Offered: June 28th -July 2nd, July 5th-9th, July 12th-July 16th, July 19th-July 23rd, July 26th-July 30th
This camp is geared towards children who enjoy competing in a variety of athletics and want instruction in their overall techniques for each sport. Campers will be divided into age appropriate teams and participate in baseball, basketball, field hockey, flag football, boys and girls lacrosse, soccer, softball, tennis, volleyball and ultimate Frisbee. The daily schedule consists of 4 periods and swimming. Each period will be a different sport and may vary throughout the week. Open to girls and boys ages 6-14.
Baseball
Weeks Offered: June 28th -July 2nd, July 19th-July 23rd, July 26th-July 30th
Led by Pace University Baseball Coach, Hank Manning, our daily schedule combines both group and individual instruction, along with controlled instructional games. Our experienced staff will stress hitting, throwing, fielding, catching, base running, pitching and team defense. Campers will be competing against players of their own ability, and sportsmanship is always stressed, as is having fun while learning. Camp is open to boys ages 6-14.
Soccer
Weeks Offered: July 5th-9th, July 12th-July 16th, July 26th-July 30th
Pace Head Soccer Coach Mike Winn and his staff strive to create an enjoyable learning opportunity to help each camper improve as a soccer player. The focus of our camp is to increase each player’s skill development and teamwork, while also improving their tactical awareness. A “games” approach to teaching individual technique will incorporate small group tactics to further develop each player. Individual skill work in passing, receiving and finishing will be stressed as well as team tactical play. Campers will be competing against players of their own age. Camp is open to boys and girls ages 6-14.
Softball
Weeks Offered: July 5th-9th, July 19th-July 23rd
Pace University Pitching Coach, Brealand Edwards’ daily schedule reinforces the fundamental skills young softball players need. Campers learn the important skills of hitting, throwing, fielding, catching, base running, pitching, and team defense. Each day campers are learning, playing, practicing and having fun. Campers will be competing against players of their own age. Camp is open to girls ages 6-14.

Every day and throughout the week players will be taught to enhance their skills, improve their speed, strength, and agility, and to play their position with proficiency. Boys aged 8-16.

One of Roberts Wesleyan College’s most popular camps! The All-Sports Camp will allow campers to be introduced to six sports. The emphasis will be on skills, rules, playing, and most importantly, having fun. The Summer Athletic Camps are sponsored by the Office of Community & Professional Education in partnership with the college’s Athletic Department.
Basketball Camp- (Held at LaSalle Institute - 174 Williams Road)
ages 7-16, 9am-3pm. 2010 dates: June 28- July 2, (boys) and July 26- 30, (girls). cost: $155
This camp includes instruction in fundamental skills and basic rules; daily drills to improve agility, coordination and ball handling; instructional and game films. Equipment: workout gear, sneakers.

Soccer Camp
ages: 6-16. 2010 dates: July 19-23, August 2-6, 9 a.m.- 3 p.m. cost: $155
This camp includes instruction in the technique and tactics of soccer. Younger groups will focus on technical skill development, while older groups will concentrate on decision-making under pressure and tactical awareness. Equipment: workout gear, cleats, sneakers, shin guards and soccer ball.

Softball Camp
ages: 6-16. 2010 dates: July 12-16, 9 a.m.-noon. cost: $79
Instruction in this camp will emphasize batting, base-running, throwing, fielding, pitching and catching. Equipment: glove, sneakers, cleats (optional) and bat (optional).

Tennis Camp
ages: 8-15. 2010 dates: June 29- July 2, 9 a.m. - 1pm; July 6 -10, 9 a.m.- noon., July 6-9 from 5 - 8 p.m. cost: $79
Instruction in this camp will emphasize the development of ground strokes, net play and serve. Individualized instruction is provided for all levels of play, from beginner to advanced. Equipment: racquet, workout gear and tennis shoes.

Adventure Camp
ages 9-16. 2010 dates: July 6-9 (no 7/5), 9 a.m.- 1 p.m. cost: $90
July 19-23, 9-12 noon. cost: $90
A series of activities designed to challenge participants on both an individual and group basis. Presented by trained instructors the program encourages teamwork, cooperation, focus and responsibility. Participants work together to successfully maneuver each obstacle and creatively solve challenges. Equipment: workout gear and sneakers.

Advanced Adventure
ages 9-16. 2010: Aug 2-6, 5- 8 p.m. cost: $155
Campers will learn and participate in belay techniques, knot tying and the necessary skills to facilitate an adventure course. Prerequisite: Campers must have participated in at least 2 previous adventure camps. Equipment: workout gear and sneakers.
Attention, campers. Due to renovations in the McDonough Field House, the indoor adventure course will not be available for use. This camp will be held on our outdoor course in rain or shine conditions.

Football Camp
ages 7-14. 2010: July 12-16, 9 a.m- Noon. cost: $79
Instruction in the fundamental skills needed to play the game of football will be covered. This is a non-contact camp that also will serve to enhance the knowledge of the basic rules of the game. All in attendance will learn to pass, kick, snap, catch, block and tackle. Equipment: workout gear, cleats and/or sneakers.

Softball Camp
ages 8-15. 2010: July 12-16, 9 a.m.-Noon. cost: $79
Instruction in this camp will emphasize batting, base-running, throwing, fielding, pitching and catching. Equipment: glove, sneakers, cleats (optional) and bat (optional).

T-Ball
ages 4-6. 2010 dates: July 26-30, 9 a.m. - Noon. cost: $79
This camp centered around the game of T-ball will be a fun way of learning skills for hitting, catching, throwing and running bases. Daily activities also will include games, crafts and water activities. (balloons and slip 'n slides)

Volleyball- (Held at LaSalle Institute - 174 Williams Road)
ages 9-15. 2010: June 28-July 2, 9 a.m.-12 noon. cost: $79
For the beginning player: learn to pass, set, dig, block, spike and serve. Focus will be on basic skill improvement and fun activities centered around the game of volleyball. Equipment needed: sneakers, workout gear. Suggested: knee pads.

All Sports
ages 7-14. 2010: July 26-30, 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. cost: $155
This camp provides participants with a unique opportunity to experience a variety of camps in one setting. Throughout the week, various sports will be featured including: soccer, tennis, handball, wiffleball, badminton, weight training, team building and brain games. Equipment: sneakers and workout gear.
