Description: NYIT Academy is an immersive New York college experience for students ages 1520. Our programs combine academic instruction with hands-on learning opportunities and unique cultural experiences. All our programs are offered in both tuition-only and campus life immersion packages, which include chaperoned housing and additional social, academic, and cultural programming.
Students can choose to attend various programs while the Academy is in session. NYIT Academy also offers a room and board option for out-of-town and international students.
Our summer session runs from July 9 - August 3, 2018. Length of programs vary, with one, two, three, and four-week options.
Cost: One week: $750; Two weeks: $1,425; Three weeks: $2,025; Four weeks: $2,550.

Exploring Architecture in Manhattan: Learn about architectural design practice, theory, and history of design in one of the worlds most famous urban environments. Enjoy museum and office visits, work with CAD, and hands-on modeling, presentation, and portfolio preparation.

Health and Medical Academy:: Investigate career opportunities in the fields of nursing,clinical nutrition, occupational therapy, physical therapy, physician assistant studies, and osteopathic medicine.

Technology and Engineering Experience: Run hands-on lab experiments in electronic music, coding, gaming, hacking, robotics, 3-D printing, CAD, prototyping, materials science, and nanotechnology while learning about careers in technology, engineering, and computer science.

Makers and Fabricators: Learn how to take an idea from paper to parts to assembly. Explore the exciting world of making and fabricating with metal, plastic, acrylic, wood and other materials in a safe environment while growing your skill set.

New York English Language Experience: TCombine up to six weeks of intensive coursework with experiences only found in New York. Explore the culture, commerce, food, and people of this world-renowned city.

CUNY ESL Program- English as a Second Language
Program Information: The CUNY Adult Literacy ( HSE / ESL ) Program has been a cornerstone of CUNYs Division of Adult and Continuing Education for more than thirty years. Through the Program, which operates on 14 campuses of the University in all five boroughs, tens of thousands of New York City adults and out-of-school youth have learned to speak English, to read, write and do math with greater facility, and to prepare for high school credentialing through the High School Equivalency exam.

Syracuse University Summer College offers high school students entering their junior or senior year the opportunity to explore college majors and experience college life with credit and noncredit programs along with commuter and residential options.
Rising sophomores may enroll in 2 week programs provided they are 15 years old when the program begins.

Description: College Now @ Hostos Community College:
The goal of SIELP is to improve your English language skills in preparation for college and prepare for the Regents Comprehensive Examination in English through literacy and supplemental activities. Develop your ELA skills through intensive reading and writing activities including group discussions, guided reading, grammar lessons, and low-stakes writing.
Program Information: College Now @ Hostos Community College: Eligibility: Be a New York City public high school student, entering 10th grade in September.
