Make Your First Video Game: July 8 July 11, 2019 (Ages 8 10, 9am noon; Ages 11 14, 1pm 4pm)
Columbia-Greene Community College and Black Rocket Productions, the premier provider of Digital Arts and Creative Sciences Camps, have partnered to bring high quality, hands-on STEM summer programs to our area.
Make your first video game in this one-of-a-kind class that shows you the keys to designing your first 2D platformer game. Conceptualization, play experience, level design, graphics, sounds, and simple coding are just some of the concepts students will explore.
Minecraft© Modders: July 15 July 18, 2019 (Ages 8 10, 9am noon; Ages 11 14, 1pm 4pm)
Use your favorite game to learn the basics of modding and foundations of programming. Learn scripting and logic statements as you create your first mods! Introductory coding will also be taught through a simulated environment inspired by Minecraft.
Battle Royale: July 22 July 25, 2019 (Ages 8 10, 9am noon; Ages 11 14, 1pm 4pm)
Using a professional 3D game development software, build levels and assets inspired by popular battle royale
games like Fortnite.
Virtual Reality-The Future is Now! : July 29 August 1, 2019 (Ages 8 10, 9am noon; Ages 11 14, 1pm 4pm)
In this cutting-edge class, you will learn the foundations of VR design by creating your own virtual worlds, exploring simulated environments, and crafting memorable 3D experiences. Google cardboard viewer included.
