Empowered learners and fun camps are the goals for every camper. Creativity, technology, make-it-yourself activities, peer learning, 21st Century skills and project-based lessons are essential components of each camp program to create the best possible learning environment for each student.

Make Your First Video Game: July 9 July 12, 2018 (Ages 8 10, 9am noon; Ages 11 14, 1pm 4pm)
Columbia-Greene Community College and Black Rocket Productions, the premier provider of Digital Arts and Creative Sciences Camps, have partnered to bring high quality, hands-on STEM summer programs to our area.
Make your first video game in this one-of-a-kind class that shows you the keys to designing your first 2D platformer game. Conceptualization, play experience, level design, graphics, sounds, and simple coding are just some of the concepts students will explore.
Minecraft© Designers: July 16 July 19, 2018 (Ages 8 10, 9am noon; Ages 11 14, 1pm 4pm)
Learn how to create a custom map, the basics of creating 3D models using a new software to design your very own objects, how to build with Redstone and Command blocks, and create custom textures.
App Attack!: July 23 July 26, 2018 (Ages 8 10, 9am noon; Ages 11 14, 1pm 4pm)
Using a specialized app & game development tool, students will explore the world of web-based (HTML5) mobile apps. Students will also see how the world of App publishing functions.
Make Your First 3D Video Game: July 30 August 2, 2018 (Ages 8 10, 9am noon; Ages 11 14, 1pm 4pm)
In this Black Rocket classic, students will learn the physics behind 3D games, explore beginner event scripting, level design, controlling the flow of gameplay, and storytelling.
Tuition is $130.00 per camp, registration fee included.
