Summer fun for budding scientists and engineers!
A project based, fun approach to applied science and engineering
with programs for your school, museum, youth group or community.
• work in teams, building individual & group projects
• use tools, drawings, computer applications & scientific instruments
• child to instructor ratio of 7:1 or less
• lead instructors are engineers, scientists or scholars
Outdoor games & challenges add to the fun!
Aug 12–16 2019, half-day, ages 9-14
Hydraulics Makerspace Your child has likely seen an excavator on a construction site, moving earth. It uses a hydraulic system to power the articulated arm and bucket. In our makerspace, children get to tinker and build table-top hydraulic machines of their own design. And not just any machines, but ones that perform specific tasks.
August 6-10, 2018, half-day
Amazing Bugs Your child will marvel at the incredible diversity of insect and bug types. Field exploration and a wide assortment of activities will reveal their super powers! Inside we’ll microscopes to get a closer look.
