Develop methodologies for determining the composition of oil paints after they have been applied to a stretched canvas. The resulting methodologies will be used to detect fakes and frauds in the art market.

Choose from two exciting research paths: 1. Food Science: Determine “hidden” lactose levels in non-dairy foods. Use a series of enzymatic reactions and fluorescence detection in a microplate reader to measure levels of “hidden” lactose in nondairy foods such as bread, confections, and dry baking mixes to help alleviate this issue. 2. Mars Imaging: Develop original hypotheses about geological and climate processes on Mars, and evaluate and test those hypotheses through the analysis of imagery available from the various orbiters that are currently exploring Mars.

Description:
For passionate high school artists (grades 9-12 unless otherwise noted) and those planning to pursue the arts on the college level. Portfolio/performance building opportunities and audition training techniques. Earn certification letters based upon participation and attendance. Schedules allow for more than one art form. Learn how to manipulate space, materials, and style through exercises that focus on drawing and thinking and through demonstrations of the properties of assorted materials. Draw and use architectural tools and techniques that are presented. Learn to translate your drawings into computer models in daily basic AutoCAD workshops. Use your architectural drawings to construct a model of your unique architectural design.

Description:
Future Stars Summer Camps offer weekly Sports, STEAM, & Specialty day camps on campus at Purchase College.
Purchase College is located in the heart of Westchester County.
Programs are offered to Boys & Girls – Grades K-9 – of all levels under the guidance of certified teachers and coaches.
Future Stars specially designed programs help our campers improve their skills in their respective activities, and offer a balanced day of skills training and recreational activities to ensure campers have a perfect blend of instruction and fun.
Weekly SPORTS programs include; Baseball, Basketball, Diving, Field Hockey, Flag Football, Lacrosse, Multi-Sports, Soccer, Softball, Swim, Tennis, & Volleyball.

SummerTech Computer Camps

Description:
SummerTech Computer Camps is for children ages 8-17 and features the following curriculua- See below.
Come as many weeks as you want: You will never repeat the same curriculum.

CODE (Ages 10-17) - The Code curriculum is for campers that want to learn the foundations of software development. Instruction in Python, C++, and Java programming. We evaluate all campers on the first day and direct them to the best possible class for them based on their desires.
ANIMATION (Ages 8-17) - Starting at learning how to draw with the computer and moving all the way up to making interactive movies. You’ll work closely with our teachers as you learn essential animation techniques and action scripting while you choose your path between animator or game designer.
WEB (Ages 8-17) - The Web curriculum is for those who want to make their own web pages, sites, and learn the foundation of web development. Campers create their own web pages and Internet applications. The primary focus is HTML, the DNA of the Internet. Advanced users may delve into php database programming.
FILM (ages 10-17)-Everybody has a video recorder these days. Let’s make the most of it with our video editing course. Got a creative kick? Spend a week or more in a moviemaking environment and learn the tricks of the trade. You’ll become a proficient video editor and have a great time doing it.
Computer game tournaments, sports. and a fantastic social scene round out the fun and recreation that SummerTech has to offer.

2017 Sessions held at Purchase College are as follows:
(Day, Overnight and Weekend options).

Week A: Sunday, June 25 - Friday, June 30
Week B: Sunday, July 2 - Friday, July7
Week C: Sunday, July 9 - Friday, July 14
Week D: Sunday, July 16 - Friday, July 21
Week E: Sunday, July 23 - Friday, July 28


Day Campers Cost: One week of day camp is $1250. ($1150 until January 31, 2017!) Each week is Sunday through Friday.
This includes lunch, as well as all materials, instruction, and supervision. Dinner is free for all campers offered as an extra from SummerTech. We encourage you to stay each night until as late as 9pm.
Overnight Campers Cost: Each week is Sunday through Friday. One week of overnight accommodations is an additional $600. This includes the day camper option plus breakfast and five nights in our dormitories.
Weekend Campers: Weekend stays are an additional $400. Weekends begin on Friday at 4pm and end on Sunday at 3pm.
