Summer College for High School Students

Description:
Students choose from over 50 courses and programs. Program options include 2, 3, & 6-week, credit and non-credit, for rising high school juniors and seniors. (Rising sophomores are considered for the 2-week programs.) Areas of study include Architecture, Astronomy, Biology, Chemistry, Drama, Education, English and Textual Studies, Design, Forensic Science, French, History, Information Studies, Law, Management, Mathematics, Photography, Political Science, Psychology, Public Communications, Recording Studio, Religion, Sociology, Spanish, Sports Management, Studio Arts, and more.

Students also experience college life outside of classes. Residential students live in an SU residence hall with SU undergraduate student Resident Advisors. All students have access to SU recreation facilities, social and recreational events, and program field trips.

Syracuse University Summer Dance Intensive

Description:
Syracuse University Summer Dance Intensive promises a unique and challenging dance experience, one that will help you grow technically, artistically, and personally. You participate in dance classes with renowned faculty and enjoy a comprehensive curriculum that includes exposure to live performances, history, and repertory.The mission of the Summer Dance Intensive is to develop well-rounded dancers by offering a variety of disciplines, with emphasis on classical ballet technique.

Program Information:
For serious ballet students, ages 12-20
Intermediate/Advanced, Advanced, and Pre-Professional
Commuter or residential option
Two-week program: July 8 - 19, 2013
Three-week program: July 8 - 27, 2013
Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; plus Saturday, Sunday, and evening classes.
An audition is required for acceptance into the Summer Dance Intensive. Auditions will be held in Syracuse, New York, and other East Coast locations.

Jim Boeheim Syracuse Basketball Camp
All Games played in the Carrier Dome

Description:
The Jim Boeheim’s Syracuse Basketball Camp offers the chance to learn the game the same way the Orange squad is coached each season. The Syracuse program has a proven record of team success and individual improvement. Hall of Fame Coach Jim Boeheim has put together a camp designed to develop players using the methods he and his staff has employed for the last 37 years at Syracuse. Campers are divided into leagues based on age and ability. Each team is assigned a coach for the week. All games are played at the Carrier Dome. Parents are welcomed to come and watch anytime. The first day of camp, players will be drafted onto teams. Campers will receive their game schedule the next day from their coach.
Registration begins on the first day of camp from 11:00 a.m to 1:30 pm at the Carmelo K Anthony Center. Camp will begin at the Carrier Dome at 2:00 pm. Last day of camp, check out times is 1:30 pm for NIT; 2:30 pm for NCAA; 3:30 pm for NBA.
All campers receive a workout booklet with drills and excercises, evaluation by coaches, participate in instructional stations and league games.
