Vassar College Coed Epee Fencing Residential Camp

Description:
The camp is focused on improving the skills of the intermediate to advanced epee fencer, offering intense footwork and bouting, and concentrating on technique improvement and competitive skill development. There will be daily private lessons for each student, group footwork and blade drills, a week-ending tournament, and an individual video evaluation. Bruce Gillman, head women’s and men’s fencing coach at Vassar College, directs the camp.

Vassar College Soccer Academy – Girls Elite Residential Camp

Description:
The Elite Residential Academy, directed by head women’s soccer coach Richard Moller, is designed for the female soccer player who wants to play at the next level, and is willing to do what it takes to improve her game. The camp environment, designed to replicate a typical Vassar College preseason week, will give elite campers a sneak preview of what is required of them to play in college.

The coaching staff, comprised of college coaches and players, maintains a camper:coach ratio of 10:1, and a sports medicine professional is on site at all times.

Description:
The camp, directed by Jane Parker, head women’s and men’s squash coach at Vassar College, focuses on giving the college-bound junior squash player a taste of life as a student-athlete at Vassar. It features technical and tactical analysis with video feedback, match play, and squash-specific strength and conditioning. A squash championship wraps it all up. The eclectic camp experience also includes a workshop on digital photography, an investigation of other sports, and a campus tour and information session hosted by the Office of Admission at Vassar College.

Vassar College Coed Swim Day Camp with Residential Option

Description:
The Vassar College Swim Camp focuses on stroke technique, including fundamental and advanced stroke drills, starts, and turn work. Videotaped stroke-technique review will be a significant component of the camp, and a personal analyzed CD is available to residential campers. Day campers will receive a written evaluation. The coaching staff maintains a camper:coach ratio of 10:1 during all pool work and a certified athletic trainer is on hand at all times. Vassar head swimming and diving coach Lisl Prater-Lee directs the camp.

Description:
Description: This competitive Field Hockey residential camp is designed to teach individual skills and team concepts to both the beginner and the experienced player. Campers will refine basic skills and learn new strategies consistent with the latest trends in field hockey. The camp staff, led by Vassar College field hockey assistant coach Cara Dunn, is comprised of college coaches and players and a certified athletic trainer, with a camper:coach ratio of 8:1.
