Teen Art Institute
Summer Youth Programs 2017
2-week sessions: June 27-July 7 (no class July 4), July 11-21, July 25-August 4.
Ages 14 - 18. 10am-2pm
An intensive camp to develop artistic skill and creativity, the Teen Art Institute will focus on drawing fundamentals as well as developing a conceptual and personal voice using varied materials. Mornings will be spent developing drawing skills using still life, figure drawing, and other structural exercises to immerse the student in a college setting. Afternoons will be focused on individual projects using a variety of media. Portfolio projects will also be explored for students who need to develop works of art for college admission. Half-day or full-day options available.
Classes for Young Artists
June 26 - July 27
Weekly art classes offered for ages 6 - 13. Classes meet once a week for 6 weeks. Students will learn to express themselves and foster a sense of creativity while constructing art projects with their peers.
Students 6 – 8: Art Exploration, 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm. Explores a variety of media.
Students aged 8 – 10: 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm

Students aged 11 - 13: 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm
- Jewelry Making
- Clay Sculpture
Materials included for all classes.
NEW! Fashion Camp
August 7 - 11, August 14 - 18. 10am - 2pm
Ages 8 - 12
This week is all about fashion. Each day will consist of a new theme: Styling and Accessorizing, Visual Merchandizing, Jewelry Making, as well as Cosmetic Creation and Application. Students will learn the basics of Fashion Photography and document their work. Strike a pose and get ready for your close up!
