ACTeen-Acting for Teens (established in 1978) is the nation's first film acting academy for teens (ages 13-15,16-20). ACTeen Juniors is a separate program for middle school students ages 10-12.).

Affordable full or part-time conservatories in June, July, or August, offering sixteen+ electives, taught in seven multi-camera studios, in the heart of New York City's theater district. Our professional working instructors and our successful working graduates attest to our dedication and commitment to excellence. ACTeen develops dedicated pre-professionals into technically proficient, versatile, and marketable actors. By successfully combining theater fundamentals with spontaneous, effective on-camera acting techniques, students learn to successfully create both film and theater roles with skill and professionalism.
ACTeen is located in an office building near Rockefeller Center and New York's Broadway Theater district, convenient to all major transportation hubs. Summer students come to ACTeen from across the United States and overseas. The staff is composed of working actors, directors and casting professionals, many of whom teach at other universities and conservatories. Small classes, (8-12 students max) grouped by age and ability enable a close personal relationship between students and faculty. Hundreds of ACTeen graduates have achieved successful careers, starring on TV series (Revolution, Bunheads, Gossip Girl, Once Upon a Time, 90210, Big Time Rush, One Tree Hill, Secret Life of an American Teen, That 70's Show, How to Rock) in films, television, and on Broadway.

June Academy: June 24 to July 3
July Academy: July 8 to August 1
August Academy: August 5 to August 16.
Summer Saturday Program: July 13 - August 17 (Saturdays only)
ACTeen Junior Summer Intensives: June 24-18, August 5-9. JR Saturdays 7/13-8/17
Audition and Interview is required before Registration. For housing, ACTeen can provide lists of affordable college dormitories in New York City for applicants aged 17+ by the summer.
