Description: The Vassar College Swim Camp focuses on stroke technique, including fundamental and advanced stroke drills, start and turn work. Daily video recorded stroke, start, and turn technique review will be a significant component of the camp. All campers will receive written evaluations. Individual analyzed DVD, as well as daily (T, W, Th, and Fri only) early morning workouts, are available.*
Please note that the last day of camp is Friday, July 2 and pick up is at 12:15pm. Those campers who wish to stay for an introductory youth triathlon clinic Friday afternoon (no prior experience necessary) are encouraged to do so. (*More info regarding the DVD, morning swim signup, and the triathlon clinic is available on the swim camp brochure and the registration web site.)
The coaching staff maintains a camper-coach ratio of 10:1 during all pool work, and a certified athletic trainer is on hand at all times. Vassar head swimming and diving coach Lisl Prater-Lee directs the camp.
